The Adventure Blog was founded in 2012 when a Dark-eyed Junco catapulted me into the world of birding. It wasn't until then that I began to truly appreciate Newfoundland's wild spaces and their biological importance to the rest of the world.
The blog remained active until 2016 and served as an outlet for me to learn and write about our birds, and in turn teach those willing to listen.
Now that we find ourselves in the middle of a global pandemic, more people are exploring their own backyards and the interest in Newfoundland's wild spaces and it's inhabitants have exploded.
Because of this, I have chosen to relaunch The Adventure Blog, with the intent of sharing trail information and educational posts from myself and other field experts.
Other Projects
In 2015 I founded the Insects of Newfoundland group on Facebook in an attempt to unite insect enthusiasts and educate it's members through sharing photos and observations. Today, we stand at 9600 members strong.
